■ Use all resources possible to communicate with our property owners, utility customers and residents, such as posting the complete packet of each meeting of Town Council on the town’s web site.

■  Assist in the maintenance and protection of our Beach, Waterway and Estuarine

Environments.

■  Work to ensure that our Code of

Ordinances is enforced fully and equitably.

■  Work with our Business and Tourism

committee and our local businesses to help our businesses thrive in the present economy.

■ Work to ensure that Members of Council treat all citizens with full courtesy and respect.

■ Work to provide full and complete disclosure of all matters considered by Council.

One word to describe my major goal for our Town; 

Sunshine !!!

The sun should 'shine' on everything done by our elected officials, in a way that makes it easy for members of the public to voice their opinions.

Courtesy, respect and an eager to please attitude should be the mantra of every person who is employed by the town towards members of the public.

If employees are happy in their positions, eager to do a good job and proud of the accomplishments, then their greetings to the public will be "Good Morning, Sunshine!"  

ANY problems should be dealt with immediately and with a goal of resolving those problems quickly and completely.

As Mayor, I have and I will continue to;

COMMUNICATION IS KEY

Immediately after taking office, I worked to resolve the annexation issues at 211/Midway Road, saving thousands of dollars in attorney fees. 

For 3 years, our management and supervisors of the wastewater system had agreed to abandon almost 700 of our people's irrigation wells.  It took me only one phone call and one meeting set up with state authorites so we only had to abandon about 78 wells, saving thousands of dollars and the upheaval for the people who wanted to keep their irrigation wells.

I personally worked with the NC Department of Commerce and our Business & Tourism Committee to arrange a full blown Economic Feasibility Study at a cost of less than $300.00.
