■ Beer on The Beach
That rumor that I want to stop all beer drinking on the beach is totally false. Though I don't drink myself, (only because I don't like the taste), I have nothing against someone enjoying a nice drink or a cold beer while they're trying to catch that citation flounder.What I DO have a MAJOR problem with is any situation in which drunks are allowed to ruin the enjoyment of anyone visiting one of our establishments, driving after they've imbibed, or causing such a public disturbance that the police have to tazer them to protect themselves as well as the public. Too many instances in the past few months have been allowed to be ignored; I want ALL ABC laws, public nuisance laws and DWI/DUI laws enforced fully and equitably.My stand on alcoholic beverages is the same as my stand on any issue of law and ordinances; Obey the law, and Enforce the law.If anyone out there makes any statement to you that is known not to be true or doesn't sound like an opinion I would have, please contact me so I can personally answer any questions or clarify any issue.
